6 months and Picky eater
 
Pixie is 6 months and she weighs 5 lbs, and lately she does not eat like she use to.
I was wondering if this is normal due to her age and does their growth slow down after 6 months? She is on wellness just for puppy, she loves Daisy's weight reduction (wellness) I keep them seperated when they eat bc they will switch bowls on eachother. I was wondering if maybe she likes the bigger kibble. Is there another Good quality puppy dog food that has a bigger kibble?
I was wondering about Merrick.
would switching her be a bad thing?

my Dezi is 10 months & his eating really started to slow down about 2 months ago. Some days he would gobble up all his food & other days he wouldn't eat hardly anything. I think the days he "gobbled" he was on growing spurts, but I don't know really. Well the last few weeks he is really starting to get picky about eating. Today I bought some "Royal Canine Yorkshire 28" dog food for him & he just loves it. I think it is the breed, plus once they are finished growing they just don't eat so much, depends on their size maybe. But I am going to keep switching the food around sometimes so he doesn't get tired of it & see if that helps. I don't think an animal will let itself starve to death if food is available. I think they are just "picky" eaters.

That is a god point they won't let themselves starve. some days Pixie gobbles it up and some days she is very picky. Dezi is adorable!!

I'm so glad you posted this. Reesie is 7 months old and he started going through the picky eating thing when he was 6 months also. He was also on Wellness Puppy.(Hmm? I wonder what the connection is here? :p) Anyway, I am in the process of switching him to Orijen Puppy. He loves it! He used to let his food sit all day and then would eat at the very last minute before bed time. Would drive me crazy! Anyway, once I introduced Orijen to him he gets all excited when it's time to eat. I started him out on 25% Orijen and 75% Wellness. At first he would pick through the food and eat all the Orijen and leave the Wellness. Another YT member suggested that I take his Orijen and moisten it enough to make a paste(I measure out enough Orijen ahead of time and let it soak in the water and set it aside for the next feeding) and then mix it in with his Wellness. This way he still tastes the Orijen and eats all the Wellness. Yes, Orijen has the bigger kibble. It is probably about twice the size as Wellness. Hope this helps.:)

Mickey is 6 months old and going through a picky stage. :aimeeyork
He used to gobble the Nature's Variety Prairie Lamb & Oatmeal...now it sits in his bowl.
He will still gobble down the Acana Lamb. Go figure :)
