 need diet help!!!! :aimeeyorkI need help!!!!! I have to change my baby over from beneifull to science diet dry. My vet wants to switch her due to not enough fiber in her diet the wet food causes her her anal glan to fill up and i definately dont want to put her through that again. I did the mixing together and slowly took away the wet food . she went all day with out touching her foo the next day i mixed some boiled chicken in that i diced very small with the dry and she actually ate some dry. I seriousley need help with her diet yes i am a sucker she has me trained. thanks cathy:confused: |

 You may want to try mixing in some watered down beef broth to the new dry food if you find a resistance to dry food. That may help with the transition from wet to dry, just make sure to refridgerate the broth and warm at feeding time. If the food is to cold it can cause stomach up set. |

 If it were me- i would swtich to a MUCH better food (Your vet probably doesn't know a lot about dog nutrition- not many vets do) And add soemthing like canned pumpkin or all bran cereal or apple to her diets to help with with the fiber. The better food will help her overall health SO much and there are very easy ways to add fiber naturally! |

 check out halo dog food the fiber is 6.5% much better than science diet, ellen degeneres is part owner, chester has somewhat the same issue I feed solid gold wee bit it is 4% fiber, the science diet is nothing but saw dust with their high fiber say away from that crap |
