carrots Are raw organic carrots ok for a treat? |
My breeder told us carrots were a good treat for our yorkie-she's had them her whole life and loves them! |
Carrots are great treats...just not the baby carrots. There is something they are treated with thats not good for them. I read it here but can't remember what it was just that it's not good for them. The regular carrots are wonderful treats. Frozen green bean, sugar snap peas and lots of veggies are good. There is a sticky on here with a list of foods that are not ok. I think it is under the diet/health forum. :) |

make sure to steam them as have read of dogs choking on pieces of carrot so i would soften them up |

steamed breen beans are a great treat as well and my girls also LOVE red peppers. |
Carrots It's what they call "baby carrots" that are soaked in chlorine. "Baby carrots" are actually the damaged part of a large carrot and shaved down into the shape and soaked in the chlorine and called "baby carrots" |

I would think organic carrots would be safe?? |
I feed Ella organic baby carrots, i hope they are safe. I've never noticed white on them. By being on YT i have learned that carrots are safe for my baby and she just loves them. =] |
Wait..not just for dogs, but baby carrots have bleach on them!?? I don't want to eat that myself! yikes...learned something new today.. |
