My Yorkie has diarrhea but is otherwise normal
A couple of days ago my 6 month old yorkie, Isla began having diarrhea. After worrying to death about it, my husband said he had dropped some popcorn the night prior and that Isla probably got into it. I thought it would clear up with some time but it has gotten more watery. Yesterday morning, i noticed a little bit of blood on the carpet and thought she had started her first heat and perhaps the loose stool was a side effect of that (hormonal changes?) but it has not improved and we have not seen more blood since. Her stool is still watery and light brown/orangey in color. We fed her white rice last night as well as a mixture of water with some chicken broth. otherwise, she is acting normal, playful, sleeping normally, etc. What could it be? I'm taking her to the vet tomorrow but am worried sick! |
