"Nothing" changed after spayed Sugar is going to be 1 year old in few days time, she weights 1.04kg (previously was 700gram, I made her eat more). I brought her to hospital 2 days ago and get her spayed. Surgeon said Sugar has got hernia but will be fixed separately cause she doesn't have enough muscles as she is too small and it's for her own good. Will need to check back 5-6 months later about the hernia. Anyway, blood test was done and the surgery performed on Thursday itself. We were advised to keep them in hospital for a night, just to be safe, I decided to make Sugar stay for 2 nights because I know I wouldn't get to sleep at night, worrying the stitches. I'm sorry this are irrelevant! Eerrr...okay, I brought her home this morning and she runs and jumps and growls and barks and everything (In her crate)...just like her old-self! I couldn't believe my eyes, I thought she would be at least a little "tame" after the surgery. Alright, I'm not saying I don't like her old-self but I was just shocked because my cat behaved so differently after she got spayed! What about your little ones, do they change a lot after getting spayed? |
I actually got my two yorkies spayed on the same day. They went in for Surgery at 9 a.m. and I picked them up 5 p.m. That night they were kind of groggy. The picky eater didn't eat her dinner. The next day, THEY thought they were ready to be their normal selves, and wanted to chase squirrels and jump on the furniture. It was definately a battle keeping them quiet for two weeks. It has been a year since the spayed and the only change I have noticed is that the picky eater is a little bit less picky. |
LOL! I have problem keeping her quiet for 2 weeks too, the vet suggested I put her in a small crate, and do not remove the e-collar... Sigh! She looked unhappy with the e-collar, I know she wants to run freely in the house, I just knew it  |
