Seizure? I have a 5 year old yorkie, Kai, who has previously had a clean bill of health. This morning while we were lying on the lounge all of a sudden Kai jumped up and started shaking his head while chewing repeatedly like something was stuck in his mouth. Saliva soon followed, which began frothing.I thoughts somehow something was stuck in his mouth but couldn't see with his head shaking and the saliva. It lasted maybe 15 seconds (felt like an hour) and it was over. I cleaned up his face and watched him carefully from then on out but he seemed fine. Was this a seizure? I'm scared what may follow. It's too early in the morning to call the vet but I will as soon as they open. I'm just so scared for my little baby. |
Poor baby, how scary! This does sound like it could be a seizure. Do get him to the vet and get a thorough check up including a blood panel done. Good luck, and do keep us updated. |
due to age could be epilepsy :( have a blood panel done but epilepsy will not show on blood panel but liver issue will but at 5 i would think liver issue would have shown up by now on blood work |
I am so sorry. Must have seemed like an eternity. Hope you find out what is the problem and that there is a solution. ~Joanne~ |
go to youtube.com type in seizures and see if any match as many take videos to help others figure out what is going on with the dog |
