Wellness "95% real meat" wet dog food... I use a little wet food to supplement because Izzy will not eat the amount of dry food she neeeds...I just bought one of Wellness line wet can food that is 95% real meat...it cost 2.98 per 12 oz can:confused:..lol...but it does not has any grains at all...and she LOVES it...Do you think thats heathly for her to have it since there are no grains or veggies in it ? Thanks |
I used the puppy one (in the yellow can just like the bagged dry food) when we first got CoCo and I could have sworn I saw carrots in it? I would think if she is also eating the dry food she should be OK, jmo. |
Yeah we tried the one in the yellow can..She didn't like it al all..lol...So that's Why i went with the Wellness Grain free..95% lamb...I think it's fairly new to the wellness line....but thanks.. |
I gave Stella 95% duck wet food by EVO as a way to entice her to eat her dry kibbles when she was a puppy. She loved that stuff, and would eat her kibbles without a problem. I don't think it's very balanced if that's all they're getting, but in addition to their kibbles it's probably better than them being picky and not wanting to eat! |

Hello from Warren MI:)!!!!! Wellness is a pretty good company and any food without grains is a plus in my opinion!! Many on here feed grainfree diets b/c many pups have alergic reactions to grains and/or make their coats itchy etc. Canned food can be fatty so just be sure you're not giving too much to your baby. Smiles- Snick & Viv Ps. If you're ever in the Madison Hts area, my favorite pet food store is there on 11mile and John R called The Pet Beastro! Only the best stuff, the owner is extremely picky with what she carries!! |

Hey, Wellness 95% meat is great as food topper. However, it even says on the back of the can that it isn't actually intended to be used as a sole source of dog food for an extended period of time. If it helps her eat--by all means I do (my mother-in-law spoils my Yorkies with it when she puppysits), but just make sure that she is still eating a lot of kibble. Keep in mind though, that Wellness has a canned/wet puppy food as well. |
When my Suzi was a puppy I use to mix her kibble in with the wet food, same brand, but the canned food had a high amount of protein . SOmetimes, the puppy will want to eat more of the caned food and decide not to eat he kibble as well anymore. If you decide to mix the kibble , be sure to mix it well. They tend to pick out the kibble and only eat the canned. ;) |
It's a good topper, the beef and chicken should be a little cheaper. Evo, Evangers, and Tripett makes 5.5 to 6 oz cans, which keeps the topper fresher, since you're not storing the open 13 oz can as long. |
