Feeding Amounts?.... I am curious how much others feed their pups and adult dogs. Kobe is 8lbs and almost 6 months. He has been eating 2 oz 3 times a day and recently I have started feeding him twice a day 3 oz each time. He would eat 8 oz but it just seems like he is stuffing his belly fuller than it needs be when he eats this much. Just curious how much food your pup gets if he/she is of the same size/ age as Kobe. Also he eats Orijen Puppy food which is very rich. |
Mine eat Wellness, yes I have 2 now LOL. I started with one pup and now rescued a Chi mix that is only 7 weeks old. THey both eat Welness. CoCo is 15 weeks a little over 4 lbs and may eat 3/4 of a cup on a good day, sometimes she leaves a little, but I only feed 3 times a day and its not left down. I pick up after 30 minutes. The little one is only 2 lbs 3 ozs. and I am lucky to get her to eat 1/2 a cup for the day. |
Mine weigh just under 5 pounds each and they get 1/4 cup twice a day (they eat FROMM) |
dexter is 10lbs and eats 1/3 cup in am and 1/4 pm and my girls are 7lbs and eat 1/4 am and 1/4 pm |
Joey is a year old seven pound bundle of terror, and he only eats 1/4 cup in the am and pm. I have to add chicken or turkey to get him to eat this. He doesn't even finish this. He is now on Royal Canine skin and stone (vet formula) I have tried Nuto Ultra holistic, bil-jac, now this. Eats about the same of each brand. Cabella my little mother of six puppies eats about 1 cup of Royal canine puppy formula three times a day. Before the pregancy she would eat about 1/2 cup am and pm. She is a 10 pound little girl. Its odd Joey goes, goes and goes and is younger than cabella but I say he eats to live. Cabella is less active but eats a little more than him. The vet says they eat less of a good food because of the nutrients. I still struggle with which food is best to feed them, because Joey is so picky and doesn't seem to LIKE anything. Good Luck to you!!!! |
