Has anyone tried it? Today I joined a Lab forum to post about a Lab on Craigslist that needs a home and they had a thread about the new formula from Innova. Everyone was raving about it, but I have seen no posts here. Ingredients seem pretty good I think.

Select Ingredients: Herring, Salmon Meal, Herring Meal, Peas, Salmon, Eggs, Herring Oil, Pea Fiber, Sunflower Oil, Natural Flavors, Apples, Carrots, Cottage Cheese, Dried Chicory Root, Glucosamine Hydrochloride, Chondroitin Sulfate, Minerals, Vitamins, Direct-Fed Microbials

I'm considering getting it for Scruffs, I think he needs a change. I almost bought it just because the bag was so pretty :). I would like to know if there are benefits to feeding chicken over salmon, or if it doesn't really matter... Thanks!

EVO/Natura/Innova is a great food line. I don't think you can go wrong.

As far as the chicken over fish, I know some dogs are allergic to chicken, so they need to have fish.

Also it is always a good idea to mixed up your dog's protein source. IE. One bag buy chicken, next salmon, next rabbit, etc.

One of my bigger dogs (well a beagle) is on the chicken EVO and she is doing great.. good muscle tone, lots of energy, coat looks and feels good. My little guys are on the canned EVO venison a few teaspoons a day and they too are doing good, (they wouldnt eat the dry) I havent tried the fish variety because my local retailer doesnt carry it yet, but I may try it when they do. Please let me know if they like it and how well they do.. :)

Wow, this sounds interesting. I can't feed chicken because my oldest has terrible allergies. Otherwise I'm not sure there's a benefit to one protein over another. I rotate foods every so often, mainly between a fish based and NV Instinct Rabbit or Duck/Turkey. I would love to have another good fish based food to offer my kiddos.

Is there anything about eating too much fish? Like in people, there is mercury poisoning I think, but does that apply to dogs?

Sadly I just bought a bag of Innova Chicken so it'll be a month before it's even have gone, lol. I will start mixing them early, though.
