Yorkie with diarrhea Our Yorkie just came from the vet, he is 14 weeks old, weighs 11 lbs. But for the past two days has had diarrhea. He usually sleeps all night long but last night woke up in the middle of the night crying..I took him out and he had diarrhea. We did not switch anything on his diet. Could this be a result of his vaccinations he got at the vet??? Thanks Barry |
I wish I could answer that for you. I hope someone who has experience will be here for you soon. If all else fails, I have had fairly good success calling the afterhours emergency vet number... while sometimes they want me to bring in my pet, most often they give me fairly sound advice and I can wait for the vet office to open. Best of luck and I hope your little one is feeling better soon! |
aww poor guy. yes it could be a side effect of the vaccine. You can give him pure canned pumpkin (not the spiced type tat you use for pie filling- 100% pure) and it will dry the diarrhea up in no time. Hope he is feeling better soon. |
He sleep all night last night, and I just brought him out, but all he did was pee, I'm kind of hesitant of feeding him him breakfast. Thoughout this whole thing, he does not act sick, just going about his usual playfulness. Should i feed him his breakfast??? Barry |

you can always give him a lil white rice in his food as well if he has the diarrhea. I usually have my vet only give one vaccination at a time. The reactions are lesser. I don't care if I have to come in every 2 weeks until the shots are caught up. Also my Dog Daisy has to have a shot of bendryll with every vaccination bc she has a reaction to all her vaccinations. I hope your baby is feeling better. |
