Yorkies x appetite fro their own food Hei all! I have two yorkies. One is 10t month old male. The second one is 10 weeks, female. We have had her now for 9 days and she hasn't shown appetite for her own food (same as the breeder used) since she came to us. She eats like a bird and the breeder told me she used to eat properly while with her. So, I am always concerned about food and what weight she should have. I weighed her today and she is 1,050grams. She was 1 kilo on December 24th, meaning she put on only 50 grams in one week. I was wondering if I should change to another puppy food or just let it continue like this. I hope someone can advise me! :) Thank you so much! A worried mom :) |
What are you feeding her? If it is dry food have you tried wetting it and heating it up a little or mixing a little wet food with it. Has she been tested for parasites? I hope she starts eating better soon. We have something called Nutrical over here that is like a high calorie paste to help them when they are not eating right, maybe you could find something like that. |
