pet insurance can anyone tell me what is the best pet insurance out there (and the worst). I surfed the web, talk about an overwhelming amount of places that offer it. thanks a bunch!! |
I use VPI when my Prada broke her leg they paid about 70% of the bill so I was happy with that. My son works for an Emergency Vet services and sees a lot of insurance claims and paperwork and he said the VPI is so far the best he has seen when it comes to claims and paper work. but is many choices out there you just need to find one that suits you and your pet. hugs, and Best of luck.. thank you. I'm going to Google that right now |
I have VPI on my 3 and have been happy with it, but I really haven't looked into others. |
is this the one that doesn't cover heredity issues? i am shopping for ins too. |
I use VPI and I have been very happy with it. I signed up 10/17/09 and Jersey broke his leg and had surgery 11/09/09. They paid up with no problem. I do not have experince with any others. :) |
I think the only one that covers hereditary issues is Pet Plan, I considered it and decided not to switch after I read the reviews, I decided to stay with VPI. you can google and read about the difference insurance and make a decission based on your needs and budget. hugs, Carmen in nj |
I have been doing some research on VPI's plans and I started reading this link Pet Insurance Buyer's Guide It says you pay for your pets treatment, and THEN submit a claim to get reimbursed? So what if you have an expensive bill, how are you supposed to pay for that until you get 'reimbursed'? I'm sure I am not the only one who, at the moment, would be entirely screwed if anything big comes along. I'm looking for a company/coverage plan that will cover it before I have to. Otherwise it's more just like a rebate program.. for your dog. You are completely out until you receive the money back? |
I currently have pet insurance with Trupanion and I think they are a pretty good company. I know that there a few companies to pick from but I honestly think that Trupanion is worth it. You should take a look at their website. On their website you can compare pet insurance companies and it is all laid out for you! |
