yorkie COW! Does your yorkie eat grass all the time??? What do you do to stop it!? The food I feed them Flint River kibbles...I don't starve them but EVERYTIME we go on walks they will eat random stuff on the ground and always bites/eats grass when we go on the fields!! I don't know what to do! HELP!:confused: |
I joke that all my dogs are part cow because they are always grazing in the grass. I know that dogs eat grass to make themselves throw up when they have an upset tummy, but mine do it all the time. I think that as long as they are not throwing up after, it is fine. |
HAHA! my two love to eat grass all the time.I buy a pot of pet grass ( its actually wheat grass ) every spring so they can munch on it and not my ornamental grass ,saves my landscaping and the dogs are happy, as Martha Stewart would say its a " good thing ". :D Eileen |
usually it's common when they have an upset stomach. Nothing bad will come of it but if it continues just call your vet for advice....Give that baby a good hug tonight |
I also have a YorkieCow and she is also part YorkieGoat, she eats grass and when we go outside for a walk she will pick up something to carry in her mouth. Right now she is carrying a pine cone she found a few days ago, its kind of funny to see my little dog trotting down the sidewalk with a pinecone in her mouth. Just be careful that your YorkieCow doesn't eat something that could cause problems, I get a little freaked out over mushrooms and toad stools. |
Milo is really good about avoiding the grass, however my sisters yorkie mix Daphne, she can't get enough of it. They live in the city and when they come out in the summer daphne is like a kid in a candy store munching away. She really loves after the cut the grass and there are grass piles we started calling them daphnes veggie burgers she will pick up the whole pile in her mouth, and try to munch away until we get it away from her. LOL |
Yes, I have a Yorkie-moo, too! She loves to graze in the yard. Sometimes I just have to pick her up because she gets carried away! She also likes to have her veggies every day -- cabbage, cucumber, bok choy, etc. |
