What is a bully stick? I keep seeing people in the forums talking about bully sticks. What are they and where can I buy some? Thanks! |
Westbrook dogs has the BEST ones in the world--no smell and high quality! And, your yorkie will love them. And, they are .....well............BULL parts...yes, they've shared their manhood with yorkies! It's a little disturbing to think about....but, your yorkie will go mad with love for them! |
As Lioncross said, you can get the no odor ones...I buy the Merricks ones, because they are grass fed, no hormones/antiobiotics, etc. etc. etc. & they last much longer than any other ones I've gotten...And they do have a strong odor!!! It doesn't bother me, but one of my friends w/a yorkie won't let hers have them, because of the smell, so I got her Bella, non odor ones for Christmas...They are so much safer, than rawhide, because they are completely digestible, whereas rawhide can cause a multitude of problems...Heads up, bully sticks are a little pricey, so shop around to find the price that suits you best.... |
When I heard about bully sticks, it grossed me out, too! But then Daisy ate some cat poop and I figured -- What the heck! I got the ones that do not smell and she loves them. She gets one on special occasion or when we go visit someone and I want to keep her busy. If you stay on YorkieTalk long enough, they will have you doing lots of weird things, like buying dog sunglasses and strollers and stuff! It is just too much fun having a Yorkie! Let us know if you try bully sticks and how it goes with your pup! |
Bonnie loves "bullies" too. We get ours from www.westbrookdog.com They don't stink and she gives a very good price too. She used to give a free sample, you might ask. Her yorkie talk name is AMD. |
My babies got one in their stocking for Christmas. They went crazy over them. But, I have to say I was a bit put off by the odor. I will be looking for the odorless ones now. Thanks for the site info! |
Oh, and I just have to clarify. I apologize for being so "technical." They say that bully sticks are from bull penises. Which technically is kind of true. But, very few bulls are ever processed so they likely come from steers rather than bulls. I know, I know, it is a minor technicallity but when you grow up on a farm there is a difference, LOL. :D |
