I haven't seen this before??? Daisy turned 1 Dec. 17. She is small 2.8lbs. She has always been in good health and a good eater. Today I noticed her shaking? She did have a late breakfast. She didn't appear to be cold. I gave her some Nutra Stat. She stopped shaking. She just wants to be held and sleep. If her sugar did drop how long til she peps up? I gave her some more this evening and she ate a good supper. Hasn't been playful today. She is asleep right now. |
Shes old enough now that she shouldnt be having hypoglycemia problems unless she is sick or there is an underlining health problem. I would get bloodwork done |

But, I do agree with you, based on the discription the OP gave, it's best to get this wee one to the vet......have her checked out. Shaking sounds more like a pain issue. |

Thanks for the replies. I have heard when they are older low sugar is less to happen. To my knowledge she hasn't got hurt. We are leaving for Gatlinburg today and of course my 3 babies are going with us. She seems to be better this morning. Does anyone know of a good vet in Gatlinburg for just in case. When we get back I am going to take her to vet for a good check up anyway. |
I also want to add I noticed her eyes were runny yesterday. If she has a cold would that make her shake? |

Well we made it to Gatlinburg yesterday. This is the babies first time away from home. They are doing great. Daisy is her old self again:) I am beginning to wonder if she started acting this way because seeing all the suit cases being packed at the house. Not knowing what was going on would this make her shake???? When we loaded them up in the truck they were truly happy:D Everyone have a very merry christmas:santa3: |
My 18 month old, 3 lb. yorkie shakes if jet planes fly by, storms are occurring, if she sees us packing bags, if she sees me making preparations to go out, etc. I have tested her by throwing one of her favorite toys and she quits shaking and starts playing immediately. I just think she has separation anxiety or becomes anxious if there is anything out of the ordinary. Abigail's mom |

She may have noise sensitivity but I wanted to let you know I have one that gets nervous when things are out of the ordinary also. She doesnt have separation anxiety though |
I'm not for sure what caused the shaking, but it hasn't happened anymore thank goodness. |
Or maybe she's afraid of anything? Like ants on the floor which we don't usually notice? My furbaby sometimes afraid of tiny little thing.. |
There isn't much that Daisy is afraid of. She may be little but that doesn't intimidate her in the least.:D |
