Hiding bully sticks?
 
For the past couple of months, Chase hasn't been eating his bully sticks or the Zuke's dental bones. He now hides them and it's pretty funny to watch. He will carry it around in his mouth and hide it in a corner, behind the couch or under the table. Then, he proceeds to push it around with his nose until he's satisfied. Wonder if this is a forever thing? I liked how the bully kept him busy for a while, not to mention other benefits :rolleyes:.

Jackson only does this with certain things that are REALLY special to him (i.e. he doesn't get them that often!) I'll give him the bone or whatever and he literally just walks around with it in his mouth whining as loud as he can and finds a place to bury it. Five minutes later, he decides he's not satisfied with where he hid it, and will find a new place, LOL. He doesn't do this with bully sticks though. He does with pig ears because he hardly gets them.

All my yorkies have done that. It is a lot of fun to watch. I try to stay quiet while they are hiding the chews, don't want to disrupt their concentration. LOL :D:D:D

Daisy does this, too. She hides it for awhile, then goes and digs it up. Guess they taste better if they are "aged."

Roxy mimics digging and burying her bully sticks and treats
 
Roxy does this too, she will act as if she is digging a hole, on the bed with the sheets- place her bully stick there and then use her nose to push the sheet back over the bully stick. It's hilarious- my friend says she (Roxy) needs to get out more- LOL but with all her allergies-no dirt and grass for her!

Hehe, Yorkies are so cute! Crossing my fingers it's just a phase and he'll go back to actually chewing on it :D.

It's not a breed specific behavior. My doberman does this too. I can't tell you how many bones and bully sticks I have found in my dirty clothes hamper :p
