Where did you get them?? I'm in MI too, Meijer? Can you explain to me where you found them or what you told the butcher. Thanks....don't want to sound like I don't know what I'm talking about when I go:). Snick & Viv |

That's ok! At first, I thought I was looking for a recreational type bone to, but since I don't feed raw to Sasha, I didn't want to screw up her eating habits. I just wanted a good raw type bone that she could chew on as a treat. |

Ah thank you! I had a feeling after finding some online and looking at them closer that I should've left some on. At least I know for the others. 2 of them I cleaned the marrow out and cleaned the outside. The others I'll just take the marrow out and leave the rest. Thanks! |

These large marrow bones are from the femur or a cow, and are load bearing, meaning they are VERY dense. Raw feeders call these bones WRECK bones instead of rec-reational bones as they will break teeth. I would never feed these huge bones. If you want the teeth cleaning and jaw benefit of bones, feed a chicken wing or cornish hen leg quarter (depending on the size of your dog.) If you just want teeth cleaning benefit and chewing exercise, use bully sticks. MUCH MUCH safer for small dogs than these large teeth breaker bones. |
