Questions I have an 11 month old female, Lexie, who is healthy. She weighs 10 lbs and is very active. I take her with me when I walk/run and she seems to love it. We walk under a mile in the morning. She loves it and shows no signs of being tired. I wonder if this is too much exercise for these dogs? I understand they can have knee problems. She NEEDS exercise but is this too much? Also, she loves sweet potatoes. I dropped a small piece of one on the floor at Thanksgiving while making a casserole and she ate it and begged for more. I gave her another small piece and she pounced on it. Any thoughts on this? |
1 milers I have a 9 lb boy and a 6 lb girl, both about 1 yr old. We walk/run at least 1 mile every day, they love it and would go even further if I had the time. As for the sweet pot. I know from reading this board that canned sweet pot. are good for both constipation and loose stools---just not the ones with syrup added, I suppose the fresh ones would be fine too. Have a super day! :animal-pa Cathy, mom to :aimeeyork Sarge and :aimeeyork Lexi :animal-pa |
I thought it was the pumpkin that was good for loose stools? I home cook, so most any real food is healthier and safer than dog food. Dead Cats And Dogs Used To Make Pet Food Closer Look At A Rendering Plant The Dark Side of Recycling |
Duh---you're right. Don't know what I was thinking about. I would love to feed home cooked, but I'm always afraid it won't be a balanced diet. Do you have any favorite recipes you're willing to share that you know are good for them. Thanks! Cathy |
