4 month old stomach gets huge after eating? Hey so my 4 month old pups stomach gets HUGE after eating, she has been de-wormed and up to date. Just wondering...she gets sooo lethargic after eating. Also just wondering how you guys feed...our breeder says she just free feeds. |
Nothing puts ya to sleep like a full tummy. I free feed all of mine. :) |
If you feel she is eathing too much at one time, you could divide the food into 3 or 4 meals. |
I am not a fan of free feeding. That is not to say that it does not work great for some. However, no one feeding program works for every dog. Take into consideration how active your puppy is and how much they lay around and sleep. And also consider your schedule. I agree with dividing the feeding into three or four smaller meals a day. |
Bloating like you describe, as in humans, likely means you're feeding something that isn't agreeing well w/ your kiddo's particular system. You're not doing anything wrong, it's just that an ingredient may not work for your baby. Whatcha feeding for food, treats, everything...and have you changed foods since you got her? |
Also...how are her poos? Are they okay? Any gas and/or tummy noises in addition to the bloating? |
