Eating Cat poop Today, I discovered Brady our almost 2yr. old yorkie, had made it downstairs to the laundry room where the cat litter box is. Well, the cat for some unknown reason pooped on the concrete, and Brady got in it. He had it all over him, and he ate some. I gave him a bath, but I need to know if I should do anything else, and what could be causing this, and what to do. Thanks! Sheri |

That is normal dogs are attracted to cat poop. You just have to keep him away from it. I put a hamster playpen around the opening of my litterbox. Now that mine have gotten older they dont even try to go in the litterbox so they outgrew it |

LOL, any dog I have ever had would eat cat poop. It just tastes good to them. I know that is disgusting, but absolutely normal. You will just need to be creative in making sure the dog cannot have access to the litter box. Do you have any kind of platform you can set it up off the floor on? The hamster cage was creative too. I am guessing you are not accepting puppy kisses at the moment. |

Not sure what it is but they all seem to love it Gross. When I had cats I put a gate across the door where the litter box was, the cats could jump over it but the dogs could not. |

Baxter comes prancing upstairs with catbox granules stuck in his little fur face - looking guilty cuz he knows SOMEHOW I know what he's been up to! Well, the granules definitely give him and his activities away! What I did was to purchase a large high laundry basket and put the catbox inside of it. My cat adjusted to it and seems to like it (privacy for her finally!). Baxter - to his dismay cannot get in it (we watched around a corner as he tried and tried and cried and cried and finally gave up). I know he still goes and checks it out. But no more catbox sand in his face! |
