cat poop My puppy has been digging in my back yard and has discovered, which was a surprise to me...my neighbors cats buried excretions (poop), and chews on it. He was brought to the vet for "Gardia" and we have been treating him. Is there any thing we can do to stop him from digging it up??? I will go next door and tell my neighbor that they need to keep their cats out of our yard, but anything else...any suggestions Thanks Barry |
Well, if anyone has an answer to this, I would love to hear it, too. We have neighbor cats that don't even bury it in the flower beds--they just poop right on the grass, on top! I wish they had leash laws for cats as they do for dogs in our town. |
Hmm, next time he digs it up try taking the poop away from him and put some tabasco sauce on it and rebury it in the same whole without packing in the dirt. When he goes to dig next time he'll go for the re-buried poo and the hot sauce should be enough to teach him not to dig up and chew poo. I know it may sound mean, and perhaps a bit harsh, but cat poop can carry diseases and I'd rather trick him into eating something spicy than have him get sick. |
Sugar got very very very sick from licking cat/racoon/whatever poop! Bloody diarrhea, vomiting, the whole works! She was sick for a week even AFTER going on meds  |
