Longest Lasting Bully Stick I'm thinking I'll get more exposure here, than in health and diet, but this isn't really a h & d question, but a bully stick question...Just wanted to know if anyone could recommend a long lasting bully stick? Apple used to have them forevvvvver, until her younger brother arrived on the scene, and now it's chew, run, fight over "one" (when there are two out) and then repeat...They would chew a whole 6" bully stick, in one day, if I let them, but, of course, I don't...At the end of the day, I have a 3/4 one, and a 1/2 one...It's not interferring w/their appetite, at meal time, but I think it would be better, not to have so much...What do you other double, triple, multiple yorkie owners do? And what brand? Thanks |
I order them from westbrookdog.com if I am not mistaken the user ID here on YT is AMD? My kids LOVE these bullysticks, they don't smell, last a long time, and they are inexpensive. You won't be disappointed. :D |
I get the 12 in. I get them from ebay |
No matter what brand, the longest lasting by far are the triple braided ones. They're bigger, but even little Tate managed to chew on them when he was 2 - 2.5 pounds. Mine chew on them until eventually they separate into 3 individual chews. |
At our house a bully stick is a special treat. And I don't think it matters how many you have, when you have more than one they are going to want what the other one has, even if it is EXACTLY the same thing. Pet siblings are no different than skin siblings as far as that goes :D I would never let my adult yorkie chew on a bully stick all day long much less a puppy. I think I've heard where they can harbor salmonella, and in my very unprofessional opinion, I would think that maybe a puppies digestive system isn't developed enough for that. I would be a little scared to order them from someone I don't know anything about, i.e. e-bay. I would recommend that if you are going to continue to let them have them, make sure you get them from someone reputable. |
