Skin so Soft for Earmites Fleas and Tics Just wanted to pass this along. A friend told me that on either, Dr oZ or The Doctors, she couldn't remember which, They said to use Skin So Soft to treat earmites. |
Lol, what the heck is in that stuff!? growing up we used it to keep mosquitoes away. |
Really? when my son was in Iraq, I send about 50 bottles to keep the fleas away from the soldiers...LOL so I know it works for fleas..LOL:):) |
I wonder how safe it is to use in the ears. That is funny though, wonder what it will be good for next, maybe end global warming? |

Skin so soft is good for fleas and mosquitos to a certain extent because of the idea that "they can't smell" them. It covers up the natural odor that makes us attractive. Honestly, I don't see how it would cure earmites or deter them. The most effective way to really treat them would be to just smoother them (like dawn does to fleas) and I've usually seen mineral oil being most effective for that. Wouldn't soap dry the ears out, bother the skin and give the earmites more to burrow and have fun in? |

They sell it in body washes as well - I assume we were talking about washing a dog in it, my mistake. On the flip side - its first or second ingredient in mineral oil isn't it? Wouldn't that be a whole lot more effective (been used a LOT longer then skin so soft has been around) and cheaper? Then again I know the oil contains (or used to, don't buy avon anymore) BHT which is often used in wood to repel termites so I suppose that might do some kind of residual good. |
