How often do you feed? Once we got over our Hypoglycemia problems and having to feed Jax every 2 hours with a syringe we got him on a pretty regular schedule of feeding him at noon, 2pm, 5pm, & 8pm but just recently he stopped eating all his early meals and will just eat at 8/9pm. My aunt has a poodle mix as well and she said Lilly will only eat at 10pm when everyone starts getting ready for bed so not to worry. Is this normal? |
I split Sasha's meal into 2 separate meals. I put 1/2 down around noon and the other 1/2 down around 5-5:30. Sometimes she'll eat it early, but other times she won't touch her food until later at night around 10 sometimes 11pm. I think some dogs are just like that for some reason. |
Franklin and Maggie eat breakfast in the morning when I wake up, usually anywhere from 7-10 and then dinner somewhere between 5-7. |
Breakfast 7:00 Lunch 12:00 Dinner 6:00 without fail. He won't let me forget! |
My babies eat breakfast when we first wake up and dinner anywhere from 5:00-7:30pm. The earlier the sun goes down, the earlier they have their dinner =) |
I free feed.... so they can eat whenever they're hungry. :) |
my feed Maddie 3 times a day, because she don't eat much. around 9 am, around 5-6 pm and around 12:00 before I go to bed. |
I free feed their kibble, and then give them two homecooked meals a day. I find having the kibble down all the time trains them to eat when they are hungry, and not just because this is the time they get fed. |
I free feed as well. Meg usually eats first thing in the morning (after she goes outside) and in the evening. She will munch throughout the day though. |
I free feed as well. I feed Sandy before I go to work and come home for lunch. If his bowl is empty, I'll put more food. I only feed him the amount I'm supposed to. |

I free feed as well. At first I did this to kind of figure out when she would eat and then I was going to set a schedule so she doesn't over eat, but she only eats about twice a day and not even the whole bowl throughout those times so I don't have to worry about that. Usually it's sometime in the middle of the night and then again midday. I'm not sure why she decided in the middle of the night but it may be because there isn't anything distracting her. |
