Is this okay? So I feed my furbabies TOTW Prairie... but I would say about once every 1 1/2 -2 weeks I give them a little package of Pedigrees "Little Champions" wet food. It gets one star on the dog food analysis chart.. I want to reiterate that I only give it to them like 2 times a month.. they gobble it down quickly too.. Other than that I give them Konas chips for snacks and when its trick time I give them half of a bacon strip ( beggin' strip ) in pieces ... Just wondering if I am cancelling out the good ( TOTW and Konas chips ) with the crappy Pedigree pack of food 2 times a month and the bacon strip.... any thoughtS? |
I would say that as long as your babies aren't have any adverse effects from them the I would say it shouldn't hurt. |
Well, I don't do any soft food because of teeth issues, hard food is better for there teeth and since yorkies are prone to tooth decay, I don't risk it. Of course I am a stickler on pearly whites!:D |

I always wondered about Wet food. I was considering buying Fergie a pack when she had a loose tooth since she was having some trouble chewing her kibble because of it. So it's no good for them? |

Since you aren't feeding it to them very often... why don't you spend the little extra money and feed them a good canned food? Shouldn't cost that much more, and will be good for them :D |
I don't see anything wrong with it. I know that you are pretty limited with what you have in Japan so honestly, you just need to make the best of with what you have. I am not going to lie, my babies get certain treats/food occasionally people on here frown upon but I think its all personal preference and moderation... consider those lower quality foods like fast food... its ok once in awhile but probably not everyday ;) We are all entitled to splurge every now and then. ;) haha |
