Ear Mites/Yeast Infection Took my Baby Bear ( 11 weeks) for his second round of vacination, and the vet found that he has ear mites and yeast infection. He did have quite a bit black discharge in his ears . He gave him Otomax drops to use daily after we clean the ears with Oti-Soothe II. How bad is this? I did not notice him scratching his ears or shaking his head. He said both conditions are treatable, but I am very worried being a new yorkie mom. Please advise Also, he weigh is 3.4lb at 11.5 weeks, is that a "normal" weight for a puppy. How big will he be as an adult? Looking at some yorkie growth charts I found online, he seems to be a little on the biger sidr. ( I would prefer for him to be a little bigger). And the last question (:), he is on royal canine puppy 33 now. Could you please recomend a holistic food that works best for you. Thank you |
My guess would be about 7-ish lbs as an adult, give or take. That's too bad on the yeast and the mites :(, ugh. But it sounds like the vet is on top of it. The Otomax should take care of the yeast. What is the plan for the mites/mange? As for the food, I feed raw (Primal), but for kibble the brands I like are Orijen, Solid Gold Barking at The Moon, Wellness CORE, Innova EVO...to name a few... |
