Earthborn Holistic My son just got home with a couple of samples bags of Earthborn Holistic, he is trying out with his dogs, he also wants me to give it a try. specially with my pregnant girl he is a vet tech and they get all this samples, he is very cautious and almost never brings anything like this home, so I a willing to give it a try , just curious if anyone have heard of it and is using it..he said that is on the lines of solid gold, ennova evo and Natures variety..:D thanks, Carmen in nj |
I have seen this food and actually purchased a sample bag to try with Harley when I was in the process of swithing foods. I searched threads on here and alot of people talk about how high the fat content is, and that there are some questionalble ingrediants. I actually decided not to persue this food when I found out that it was actually manufactured by Pro Pac. I just have a hard time purchasing foods that are made in the same plant as your normal run of the mill food, just my personal feelings. I have switched Harley to Acana, which is made by Champion Foods, a sister company to Orejin, and have had excellent results. Jeri and Harley |

Yikes...lots of grain! i'm glad I didn't go for some when it was offered to me..I had never heard of it before. What is the other food you mentioned? Never heard of it or "champion foods" are they natural or maybe even grain free? Tho I feed raw sometimes Ball wants something different and I'd be willing to use somethig grainfree. |

I feed Orijen and Acana to Polo he loves it. Orijen is completely grain free but Acana has some potatoes in it Orijen is 40% Protein and Acana is 33% protein both are great foods!!! Orijen won pet food of the year 2009! here is the website Champion Petfoods | Home and Orijen also gets 6 stars on the website Dog Food Reviews - Orijen Adult - Powered by ReviewPost |
thank you.. I am going to keep them in solid gold for now. thank you again.. hugs, Carmen in nj |
SolidGold is good too. it's one of the higher grade foods. Are potatoes considdered a grain? Which..orijen or Acana would you recommend for all and which will compliment..not substitute..a raw diet? That's really the direction I'm heading..grainfree and raw. Also where can youget samples? Their site looks interesting. |
