Thank you guys! I am going through a terrible time with this especially with it being right at Christmas, and her 2nd birthday was last Friday. I am still waiting on the call from her vet and I am praying that in the xray that they dont find anything else. Please pray for a safe recovery also. She is supposed to come home on Christmas Eve morning. |
I don't know you but I am proud of you for making a tough, but the right decision.:) |
I am so sorry to hear about Zoey... I will keep her and you in my prayers. :hands: |
Oh poor Zoey... I hope SO much that after her leg is amputated everything will be pretty much gone! You have definitely made the right decision |
I was just checking in, hoping for an update. How did she do yesterday? I'm praying everything is alright. {hugs} |
I'm checking in also. Been thinking about your baby since yesterday and said a special prayer for her last night. I hope and pray her surgery went well and she will be fine. Hugs to both of you, |
She is doing fine! Her vet called me at about 5 pm yesterday saying she was starting the surgery, she was done by 6 pm,and called me back. She said Zoey recovered alot faster than she thought, was doing great, and that she had got her to stand up for her. So she stayed the night with the vet last night so she could monitor her throughout the night. I am going to go see Zoey on my lunch break today. Hopefully she will still be doing well and will get to come home for Christmas! Thank all of you for the wonderful thoughts and prayers! We needed them and still will for the hopes that no cancer will come back! :love:Thanks, Kelsie & Zoey |

I just found this thread...all I can say is bless your heart! You have been through it. I am glad that as I kept reading the news did get better. I feel bad for all your Zoey has had to go through, but so glad she is doing so well now! Hugs and prayers! |
Just wanted to further update. Zoey's leg amputation healed fine. She is the most active 3 legged dog I have ever seen. It is truly amazing! I hope to post some videos and pictures soon. But,they also found a spot on her stomach. I opted to have it removed also. I hated to put her through another surgery but,now she is tumor free!!!! So now I just have to let her live as long as she can. I WONT put her through another surgery again. This has been 3 surgeries so far and shes only 2 years old.1st-Spay 2nd-leg amputation 3rd-small tumor removal on tummy. Thats just too much for that little doll to go through so I hope now she can live as long and as happy as she can. Just wanted to update. -Kelsie |
