Apparently, July 31, the FDA SHUT DOWN TEVA and it's "units", including major animal dermatological product maker DVM. DVM makes numerous popular items, including popular products like Malaseb Shampoo(s), Malaseb Pledgets, Oti-Calm ear cleaner, 3V and 3V HP Omega Fatty Acid formulas, and many many more.

Pretty incredible..I use some of their products (and like them)..but what is amazing to me is that the government (FDA) is shutting them down for altering animal products/drugs but what does the government do for inhumane treatment of animals in puppy mills. Sorry I do not want to highjack this thread but that was my first thought...

What the heck?? I use Malaseb shampoo for the boys...so how do I know what the recommendation is...should I just stop using it...? Wow. :(

Well, no qc unit and letting bad products go through equals me being done with the company. We don't have any way of knowing if the stuff is contaminated. I have to get a hold of Ellie's nutritionist to change her fish oil and her vet to change her ear cleaner.:mad:

What fish oil have you been using? I think mine is made by this company - I'm going to go check. Thank goodness I just ordered the kind Ann recommends, Ark Naturals.

Well, that didn't take long. The Derm Caps liquid I've been using IS made by this company.

:eek: I think I have one of their shampoos, too. It's medicinal for Alex who has had some skin issues in the past. That's just great. :(

I feel like maybe I'm overreacting, but them I come back to the fact that the article says bad products were allowed to go through.:mad: I don't know what else to do. I guess I'm going to finish this bottle of fish oil (maybe)...10 or so left and then switch because I can't get another product here fast enough. sigh. I'm so tired of this.

I don't think you're overreacting at all. People relied on this company for their pups health and they were deceived. I had planned to finish the bottle of fish oil I have before I opened the new one, but now...I just can't trust that it's safe. It just seems like its ALWAYS something. It shouldn't be this hard.
