problem with new puppy *TMI*
 
Hi ive got a new puppy she is 8 weeks old and i have a problem this might be a bit dissgusting but she eats her own pooh iam so appauled by it and dont know what to do.:confused:

in my house my back door is always open as i have a massive back garden and she loves running around in it so i cant keep checks on her all the time but ive caught her doin it a few times so i have to quickly remove it.:eek:

what can i do to stop her eating it ????

She will eat throw up,spit. Its so nasty!

i do believe its normal for them.. lexi used to do it when she was younger, but as they age they will definetely stop.. u can try pinapples in their food, it might work. its so funny because now when lexi poops, she run away fast enough from it..

I would not let her outside in the grass at that age. she is not protected with her vaccines yet.

YUP! normal with little dogs and a habit you most likely will never break. U just are either lucky to have a dog that will or wont! Just try to catch them and scoled them when they do it.

a week before i got her i phoned the vets to get her an appointment to have her vaccines done and the advice they gave me was she is allowed out in my back garden but is not allowed near any dogs that havent had their vaccines or anywhere else.

Well just to be safe, IMO I wouldnt let her outside until she is utd on all shots.

she wont be going no where untill two weeks after her last shot wouldnt like to take the risk i dont even let her in my front garden just in case another dog goes near her or has peed up my fence better to be safe than sorry x
