Me too. That's Buddy food for 4 1/2 yrs. It seems no matter what you eat something is wrong with it! I give up:( |
I look on their wed site at the ingredients I didn't see it. weird  |
It has been removed from NB products as of 2007(ish). That is an old ingredient list. |

You made my day:p Way to go Natural Balance |
I have never fed the organic but did feed the duck and potatoe until they change it and we had bad result with the new food. so I am back looking for a another safe food. it seems like this is never ending. |
Oh my...that was scary. It is the ingredient list that is on Petco. They need to update that! It says: Crude Protein 22.0% minimum Crude Fat 13.0% minimum Crude Fiber 4.5% maximum Moisture 10.0% maximum Omega-3 Fatty Acids* 0.4% minimum Omega-6 Fatty Acids* 2.6% minimum What protein level is enough (range)? Are the 20's ok? Are the 30's or 40's to high? |

Does anyone have the guaranteed analysis from the old and new NB duck and potato? I think they replaced the duck meal with duck which isn't horrible as long as the protein level didn't drop significantly. They may just be adding more duck than the duck meal they were using. Unless your pup has had problems with it, I don't see any reason to switch unless I'm missing something. |
Old Ingredients Potatoes, Duck Meal, Duck, Canola Oil (preserved with natural mixed tocopherols), Potato Fiber, Natural Flavor, Salmon Oil, Flaxseed, Potassium Chloride, Choline Chloride, Taurine, L-Lysine, L-Carnitine, Yucca Schidigera Extract, Vitamin E Supplement, Iron Proteinate, Zinc Proteinate, Copper Proteinate, Ferrous Sulfate, Zinc Sulfate, Copper Sulfate, Potassium Iodide, Thiamine Mononitrate (Vitamin B-1), Manganese Proteinate, Manganous Oxide, Ascorbic Acid, Vitamin A Supplement, Biotin, Calcium Pantothenate, Manganese Sulfate, Sodium Selenite, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B-6), Vitamin B-12 Supplement, Riboflavin (Vitamin B-2), Vitamin D-3 Supplement, Folic Acid. New Ingredients Potatoes, Duck, Potato Protein, Canola Oil (preserved with natural mixed tocopherols), Potato Fiber, Natural Flavor, Dicalcium Phosphate, Calcium Carbonate, Sodium Chloride, Salmon Oil, Flaxseed, Potassium Chloride, Choline Chloride, Taurine, Natural Mixed Tocopherols, L-Carnitine, Yucca Schidigera Extract, Vitamin E Supplement, Iron Proteinate, Zinc Proteinate, Copper Proteinate, Ferrous Sulfate, Zinc Sulfate, Copper Sulfate, Potassium Iodide, Thiamine Mononitrate (Vitamin B-1), Manganese Proteinate, Manganous Oxide, Ascorbic Acid, Vitamin A Supplement, Biotin, Calcium Pantothenate, Manganese Sulfate, Sodium Selenite, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B-6), Vitamin B-12 Supplement, Riboflavin, (Vitamin B-2), Vitamin D-3 Supplement, Folic Acid. Both have same GUARANTEED ANALYSIS (I think) Crude Protein 21.0% minimum Crude Fat 10.0% minimum Crude Fiber 3.0% maximum Moisture 10.0% maximum Calcium 1.0% minimum Phosphorus 0.9% minimum Omega-3 Fatty Acids 0.5% minimum Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA) 0.01% minimum Omega-6 Fatty Acids 3.0% minimum |
To me... Looks like they used Potato Protein to help boost up the protein that taking the Duck Protein out lowered. |

I don't know what they did but it gave Wicket an upset stomach that he didn't have on the old. also they have taken made in the USA label off their bags and web, site and after reading on other forums people have the same problems I decided to find a new food. |

I feed both of my dogs this, and this seems to be their favorite flavor of the NB line. I've fed them all different flavors, and they've never had any issues. |
Good thread:), lots of info. I've been feeding the "kids" NB Potato and Duck small bites b/c Zoey just inhales her food and I want to keep the kibble size small. YT has made me more aware of reading the labels not only for the "kids" foods but also for my foods. |

That is the "new version". I wish they would not have changed it! |
