how much to feed your yorkie daily I am new here and I have a 7 1/2 yr old female yorkie named Mocha. I feed her Cesar dog food and also have a little kibble for her teeth. I feed her two of the small packages daily....But most days she wants more then two..she is not that small (11 lbs) is it bad to give her 3 of those packages? |
Hi and welcome to YT its bad to give her any of those packages. Cesar food is a terrible diet. its like feeding Mcdonalds and ice cream every meal. you should slowly switch her to a high quality kibble/wet food diet. many of us on YT use innova, solid gold, wellness, merricks, etc.... there are many threads here on which food to feed. I feed my 4.5lb yorkie innova small breed. she free feeds but basically eats 1/4-1/2 a cup a day. |
Ditto on what Kalina said...I used to feed Innova - it's an awesome kibble, along w/all the other ones she said...My little Apple (also 4 1/2 lbs.) is on NV raw now, and loves loves loves it...but no Ceasar, s'not good stuff:thumbdown... |
Thanks I think I will take your advice and try to switch her to what you have mentioned..I want her to be healthy and to be with me a LONG time... |
I agree with everyone else too. I myself use Merricks and they love it!!:) GoodLuck |
what about this anybody feeding dick van pattens natural balance i have switched from royal canin any thoughts.... |
Welcome to YT :wavey: I'm feeding raw with a little James wellbeloved Kibble mixed in...I feed that twice a day. When I was just feeding kibble I used to free feed because Twinkle would only eat a few mouthfuls at a time and it was easier that way....now I've switched she gobbles it down:) Also, now that I have Wicket I have to be a bit more careful because he's a total pig! He would eat all day if I let him  Opinions on raw feeding vary, but there are lots of threads on here if it's something you feel like considering xxx |
