Evo redmeat smallbites Does anyone feed this or have any feedback on this product thanks |
That is so funny! I had a sample of it and the dogs are going nuts over it. Lexi is like a completely different dog since she ate that! I was researching on here trying to find out the same thing when I saw this thread!!! What a coincidence! |
I feed that to Peanut..He has been on it for about a year...and he loves it. I have no problems with it, his coat is shiny and the vet says he is healthy. He doesnt eat very much.. he is one of those dogs!! He will eat 1/4 of a cup in 2 days.. |
Thanks guys ....i guess we will see what else gets posted lol |
I noticed a lot of yters dont like it bc of the high protein... |
EVO is very high in protein, many dogs do very well on it, and I've read a few stories of dogs having issues. I think if you're going to feed a food with 42% protein, they should probably be pretty active. I feed a 35% protein food (Nature's Variety) but Jackson is a pretty active 12.5 lb dog. If they're consuming that much protein, from what I understand, they also need to burn it off. I'm probably not explaining this well. Here's some reviews on it... My dog absolutely loves this food! The first time I put it down (mixed with his old food) he picked out the EVO, and left the old food. I just started recently...hopefully he's active enough. I take him for two 20 minute walks everyday (sometimes three on the weekend), let him play in the yard and he's run ragged by a 10 year old and 6 year old. |
I've fed EVO red meat and would recommend it! We're currently on CORE, but will rotate to EVO in a few weeks. :) |
A few negatives I've heard over the years about Evo..... Very high in protein which may or may not be appropriate in toy breed dogs. Make sure your Yorkie has a bile acids test to rule out any liver disease before feeding Evo or any other high protein dog food. Higher in fat than many of the other high protein foods. I have heard of cases where dogs developed high cholesterol/high triglycerides on this food. You really have to watch the portions with Evo as it can pack on the pounds quickly. Most of us who have fed Evo use less than the package recommends. |
