Ear Problem My six pound yorkie has begun to shake her head violently. She is 5yrs old. I don't see anything in either ear. What could be causing this? Thanks for your help. |
it could be a number of things, ear infection, allergies, ear mites. I would have her ears checked. |
Ear Problems Thanks for the information. This morning Diva seemed fine. She wasn't shaking her head or scratching her ears so I didn't call the vet but a few minutes ago she vomited. I will watch her closely tonight since her vet is now closed and if necessary I will take her to the emergency vet. As you said it could be an ear infection. Thanks again. Diva's Mom |
Just checking in to see how she is this morning. Hope she is better... |
If there is an odor, she may just need her ears cleaned. When you get her checked out with her vet, make sure you purchase some ear wash for her. (You should probably not buy over-the-counter ear wash, unless the vet recommends it). I clean Prince's ears about twice a month, or as needed. I didn't realize that she vomited until I reread your post. You should definitely get her checked out with her vet. |
did you go to vet as you should at this point - any updates? |
