Tilapia fish fillets? I have some tilapia fish fillets in the freezer. Is it safe to feed it to my yorkies? I plan on broiling it. |

Mine LOVE any kind of fish. As long as you don't season it, it should be fine. Mine even eat it raw.... |

Most tilapia fish fillets have been rolled in nuts or something for the flavor along with different spices and I would not feed these to my dogs. If the fish like salmon is raw and nothing added that would be fine. |

Thanks for catching this as I wouldn't want any of these little ones hurt. |

These are just plain ole fillets, not rolled in anything. Thanks everyone for replying. Gonna cook them right now:) |

I also feed my two the unseasoned Tilapia fillets. They love them as well as any unseasoned white fish!!! I usually bake it!! Hope yours enjoys too:) |

prefer cod if feeding white fish as have heard some not so good things about tilapia |

I use talapia fillets all the time. I use the Ziplock steamer bags, toss them in there and voila - 4 minutes later three fillets are done!!!! |

Just wanted to let you know baked the fish in the oven and the dogs loved it. They licked their plate clean, even the picky one:D |

Oh good because I use either Tilapia or cod and steam in the bags as well. Very good for them and this was recommended by both vet and nutritionist for Izzy!! |

Here is a link on farm raised fish, which is primarily how we get tilapia and salmon. Just some more things to think about: http://www.ewg.org/reports/farmedpcbs |
