New owner lots of questions I have a four month old yorkie and I have a few questions about his diet. We give him Medi-Cal treats (which he loves), but i am wondering what "human" foods i can give him as a treat, especially when we are enjoying treats like popcorn. I feel guilty because he will sit right beside us waiting for a treat. The other question I have is about his coat. When we got him he had a nice shiny black coat, but now (after i took him for his first hair cut) his coat is greyish. The question i have is: will it ever be that nice black color again and can I feed him something that would make his coat have that nice shine. Dolce appreciates all of your responses :) |

I would try not to give a lot of the human foods..but the foods that are safe are Yogurt Carrots Peas Turkey lunch meat...a little Chesse...My peanut loves string chesse! Canine Food Safety thats a list of what NOT to give him =) His coat is grey because he is changing colors..Peanut was the same. His body is really black when its short and when I get it shaved it really grey =) |

Yorkies coats can change colors and that is probably what is going on here. Gizmo still has a black coat on him but my Reeses turned from jet black to a light silver VERY quickly! It does not change back black but no worries..your furbaby will still be a cutie!!! :D What are you feeding your furbaby? I feed Lifes Abundance Premium dog food. It is great for dogs of all ages and healthy for them too!! |
