Eating Issues: Again Do any of you all have eating issues with your dog(s)~? Maxwell hasn't touched his food or much of it today. He has agility training on Wednesday evening and treats are important there. We played balled earlier tonight and got "Nathan's" hotdog treats. He loves them. He tried his hardest to get me to play again, cause he wanted treats I believe. Well, I knew better and didn't play. Sometimes I give him his food for treats and then he starts eating on his food. Sometimes after treats he starts eating on his food. I guess it's back to the ole drawing board....food training again or less treats when we play ball. |
I deal with this almost daily. He eats very small amounts one day and then the next he acts starving and gobbles the whole bowl. Whenever he eats too little his stomach gets irritated and he throws up bile! Yet he never learns. Try mixing in something new with his food. I use cottage cheese added to his kibble. |
Dudley is 5mo. old and sometimes he eats sooooo little. I guess I overfeed my others but he is such a tiny little guy. I know I shouldn't do this, but, I put shredded cheese and mix with his Innovia wet food and he will eat that. We want him to get to 3lbs. before he is fixed and he hasn't got long to gain it. Good luck with your baby. I know when they don't eat or eat very little it kinda worries you. |

Worried Again With Eating Issues Maxwell is at it once again. He has not touched his food today or this weekend. He's relying on treat, which I have cut down to one which is after I brush him and his teeth. Last night, I gave him his food for treats. But when someone comes over his goobles his food like he is impressing them. I have put his food away and will put it down later and maybe he will eat. Does anyone know what could be going on with him~? Maybe he wants more attention from me~? Perhaps, he is tired of his "Royal Canine" food. I just got a new bag recently since he was almost out. He is waiting to play ball now, so I will give him his food for his treats. |
