Is neutering less evasive than spaying??? Just wondering because in about 3 months my boy will be 6 months old and if he weighs enough I am going to get him neutered. Marley did really well with her spay but it just seems like it was a really evasive procedure. Pardon my ignorance but "cutting something OUT" seems alot more traumatic than "chopping something OFF"... hope you all can help me out on this one... I know it took Marley about 3 days to be back to normal but it seems it takes boys alot less time. |
It seems my Roscoe did better that my female dog did. He was ready to go the next day. I guess it depends on the dog, but to me, it is worth it in the long run. I am sure he will do great! :) |
You really need to take the same precaution and after care, but certainly it is a much easier surgery to perform and heals the same pace, but it is smaller incisions, compared to spay that you need to cut through layers of abdominal muscles... Good luck !!! He will be fine and you will be glad !;) |
