dry and swollen pads, what to do? Picked up my baby from the groomer today and she pointed out that xena's pads were swollen and very dry/red. I have noticed her chewing on them the last few days. Her ears seem to be a little dry as well so I am assuming that she is a little dry all over. Is this a food issue? I don't give her any fish oil or anything. Should I? So what can I do for her? some kind of cream available that I can atleast use on her pads? thanks in advance |
Chewing on the paws is usually because of allergies but I quess she could just be chewing on them because they are dry and irritating. You could ask fish oil but you have to give vitamin e also. I know yorkietalker AMD sells a product called royal coat or something like that which is a fish oil with the vitamin e added. I would just put vaseline on the paws or someone else suggested bag balm works in these situations. Im pretty sure they said they got it at walmart |
