Scrambled Egg Question Apple has joined the ranks of picky eater, so I've started putting just a little bit of my scrambled eggs in her dry food (Innova Puppy) that I have now begun adding just a tad of water, to soften...I probably don't give her more than about a teaspoon, or so, but I wondered what kind of oil other yorkie owners scramble the eggs in?....I use real organic butter, and although she's only getting a little bit of the fat, I wonder if that's too much? She's almost 9 months old and weighs about 4 1/2 lbs....Thanks for any responses... |

If you're feeding a good quality puppy food, it isn't necessary to add oil. However, flax seed oil and or salmon oil is a better source than butter. Directions as to how much are on the bottle. |
When I scramble my guys an egg I don't use any butter or oil. I use a non stick pan because my girl has a real sensitive stomach and can't handle the fat.:) |
Are hard boiled eggs OK too! I cut it up and feed only about 1/2 to each dog? |
I don't use any oil either, just a non-stick pan. Too much fat can cause pancreatitis. Hard boiled eggs are great too, but I don't give them the yolk. |
