I've been giving Brady Cosequin but get the tablet which we crush and put the correct amount in his food. The ortho. surgeon is the best around and he is at a loss as to why he is still limping as his xrays show that it was successful. We keep gates, & pieces of foam board in front of sofas and chairs so he can't jump on them as his health is more important to me than letting him enyoy jumping. The 6 weeks wasn't too bad as he learned to walk (and run) with that cast (dr. called it bandage) on his leg but it broke my heart to see him with it. When he came home the day after the surgery I held him all day!!! Thanks for your input. |
Thanks everyone for your input. The breeder paid for $1200.00 of the $2,000. surgery and her warranty stated she would replace him within a year but I fell in love with him even before we got him (from pictures). |
OH....He HAD surgery and the patella is in place, but he still carries his leg  hmmm....did the pin migrate???? That happened to Roxy. Or maybe arthritis already set in :confused: I have about 5 of these foams ramps for the couches ;) NEW Foam Dog Cat Pet Ramp - eBay (item 200362067982 end time Jul-18-09 19:09:12 PDT) |
The doctor took the pin out a few months ago but it didn't make any difference. He said his xray looked great. I think the arthritis would have shown up on the xray. |
