yes wait until healthy before putting under anesthesia and always have blood work and urine tested before anesthesia for any age Is she eating and drinking ? do you think she swallowed anything foreign? |
i would take in for an xray and blood work as my concern is swallowing of something and not eating is a concern what happened the 24 hrs prior to this occuring |
choking or gagging Are you using a harness or a collar. My boy had those same symptoms after the trainer suggested we use a correction collar instead of his harness. As soon as I realized the culprit, I changed back to the harness. |
Surgery and x-rays My four month old was doing the same thing and I thought it was a collapsed trachea, so the vet x-rayed. Sure enough he swallowed something. So they operated and found pieces of a pacifier that were to big to pass. He still gasps for air though. That was 2 weeks ago. |
Have you checked to make sure there is no hair going down her throat. Mine get that occassionaly and I gently pull the hair from their throats. The hair is the hair that is attached to their beard so they have no way of getting it out once it gets down their. Hope it is something minor. |
