peanutann | 07-06-2009 05:00 PM | Nail bleeding My 11 month old Peanut was running in thick grass today very fast and she stopped suddenly and I noticed her nail was bleeding between her "toes". This is the second time this has happened in 5 months. Has anybody ever had this happen before? There was no sticks, twigs or anything in the grass. It seems like when she runs, she is grasping deeply with her nails for traction and that the nail may be pulling away from the paw quick somehow. Does this seem like this could happen? I'm open for suggestions. I cleaned it out and put the stop bleeding powder on it. I had to put a cone on her head because she wants to keep licking it but I think it's best if left alone so it can clot. Any comments or ideas would be greatly appreciated.....Sheryl, Bartlett, IL...PeanutAnn Mommie |
