What are the best treats? I have been a proud supporter of the famous Yorkie Yummies (and still am). I need something better than Yorkie Yummies, if that is possible. Something chewy that is made out of whole ingredients. My dog loves Yorkie yummies, but our agility trainer had some kind of chewy treat which he loved way more! I'll have to ask her what it is, but in the mean time does anyone have a suggestion of a chewy treat? I was thinking of one of these: Zuke's Jerky Naturals Dog Treats at PETCO Wellness Pure Rewards Turkey & Salmon Jerky Bits Dog Treats at PETCO Anyone? |
Currently I use yorkie yummies and boiled chicked.........but prior to finding Cindy's yorkie yummies I used Bil Jac for little dogs (purple package - smaller than their regular treats) and also zukes salmon or peanut butter small bite treats - all of those were chewy. |
How did you like the Zuke's treats? I'm thinking of getting those. I think he would be more interested in a chewy treat, which is why I'm interested in one of those. I tried Bil Jacs for the first day of training. He liked them ok. I got home and then he chewed through the package and ate all of them in one day. That fatty!! |
Alot of times the chewy treats are more fatty. If I recall correctly, Bil-Jacs contain high fructose corn syrup and meat by-products, both of which I try to avoid. We are sticking with Yorkie Yummies! :D |
I like to think if there's no variety in kibble... the least I can give her is variety in treats! I use Zukes treats; salmon and peanut butter in the small itty bitty bites. They also have lamb in squares, which I end up tearing into 4 separate pieces. I've used Bil Jacs and she didn't care for them. |
I ordered the Zuke's. In lamb I think. I just started agility with Scruffs and the trainer said to try and get the tastiest treats you can find. My dog gets 2-3 hours of exercise a day so he definitely works off the calories so that isn't a problem. |
I give Lola Zuke's treats all the time and she loves them. Good Product :) |
is there a link for cindy's yorkie treats?I give my dogs very small pieces of chicken jerkey for dogs. no salt added. or bison chips. |

I use Zukes mini naturals and Evanger's Organic Chicken Jerky Treats. They're both moist treats that I can break apart. The Evanger's Jerky treats are super easy to break little pieces off. |
I give my pup the Wellness treat (beef flavour and the salmon flavour) and she absolutely loves those. It's great because I can give her a big piece or easily cut them into smaller pieces, and we can sit down for some training. The treats are soft, and Addie goes crazy for them. Also, there's no artificial preservatives in them. I'm not an ingredients expert, but I've learned a lot, and I think Wellness treats are pretty good. |
At the moment Coco is hot for these Tiny Tots we were lucky enough to get them from our GE buddy, and so glad that we were able to try them out. She loves loves loves them, all the dogs do. They are moist and easy to break into smaller pieces for training. Yummy |
milu loves freexe dried liver, and freezed dried chicken. |
