Raw diet... Just curious if you feed a raw diet, or partial raw diet, what your favorite brand is (Nature's Logic, Natur'es Variety, Primal etc). :D Medallions, Patties, or Chubs? Any opinions on Frozen vs Freeze dried raw. Also, how much time is required for preparing a raw diet? |
We use Nature's Variety frozen Medallions. Venison is Laya's favorite. I do keep freeze dried on hand for travel or emergency. She likes it if I rehydrate it with water. I thaw the medallions at night for the next day. Works out well for us. :) |
I use NV frozen raw medallions. Sasha loves the lamb flavor. I'm still new to the whole raw process as well. I do half raw, half kibble. She gets raw in the morning and her kibble in the evening. |
We use The Honest Kitchen. It is a freeze-dried powder that you re-hydrate with warm water. We use the Embark and Keen (Turkey formulas) for breakfast along with Preference (veggies & fruit) mixed with cooked white fish and salmon for dinner. It is very easy to use - take all of about 2 minutes to prepare and very portable for travel!!!! |
I use Suzy's (local) or Primal (medallions) or NV. I thaw about 3-4 days at a time, put in tupperware, and feed from that portion. :) |
NV medallions for us:) Snick loves the chicken and the lamb. Sometimes we do the full raw diet with 1 medallion in the morn and 1 in the evening and sometimes we do 1 medallion in the morn and Evo kibble for reat of day. Actually the kibble is our 24/7...he will nibble on it usually. Less on days when we feed raw x2. Raw is incredible:) Snick & Viv |
We use the Honest Kitchen and my boys love it. Started out with NV medallions but Gizmo but switched to Honest Kitchen due to the convenience when traveling. Breakfast is usually HK Force with a little cottage cheese and dinner is HK Thrive mixed with a few cooked veggies and some raw chicken or turkey. Haven't tried the fish yet but plan to soon. Jodie was right, it is very easy to fix. |
