Gum bubbalicious Is it just sugarless gum or gum in general?? My sister was over and she took her kids to the store and they came back with gum and I told them do not leave anything laying around and do not give the dogs anything. Somehow Tila and Mika got some of this gum. Not sure what to do or what. Thanks. |

It is not all sugarless gum -- you need to be concerned with sugarless gum containing xylitol. If the gum is not sugarless gum containing xylitol, then dont worry about it...it'll pass. |
I checked the ingredients and it doesn't have xylitol. I think what happened was my niece or nephew stuck a piece in between the couch cushions and one of the girls dug it out and they decided to have a chew. |
Ok good that there is no xylitol. So, I dont think I'd worry about it if I were you. Just make sure no sugar free stuff with xylitol is around and if your dog ever does get into anything with xylitol, induce vomiting, and get the dog to an ER vet as fast as you can for treatment. |
For sure thanks. :) I've read about the sugarless gum and know the dangers. I just wasn't sure about the bubbalicious kind. I just got a little scared and thought I'd come here to check. This place is always great. I then checked the ingredients. I don't actually chew a lot of gum and if I do it's zipped in my purse. I found gum wrappers shoved in between the couch cushions so that's why I figure one of the kids probably stuffed a piece in there. |
