Favorite canned food? Chase eats Innova dry, but I feed him canned food once a week. I've been feeding him Merrick's because their recipes sound so good! So far he's tried Wing-a-Ling (favorite by far), Grammy's Pot Pie, and Thanksgiving Dinner. I was curious about Innova Evo 95% Chicken Turkey. Any other recommendations? What are your favorites? |
Our dogs sometimes eat Merrick dog food as a complement to home cooking. They LOVE the Turducken. They also like Wellness superfive chicken canned food which we used to use before Merrick. Regarding the wingaling -- are the bones mushy in the can? I have been considering trying that one but was a little nervous. I know they slow cook the bones but I was not sure how mushy they actually were. I slow cook my own chicken (with bones) but I put it through a grinder to make sure that the bones are pasty but I have been curious about the wingaling. Thanks and try the Turducken! |
My honey's fav is Blue Buffalo, can hardly get her to eat any other one. |

Jackson really likes ANY wet food, LOL. I usually mix in wet food with his dry once every other day or so for breakfast. He seems to like the Dog Whisperer canned food the best or the Innova canned. |
I just gave Sasha some Merrick canned with her dry the other day and she loved it! I agree with 107barney, try the turducken! Sasha LOVED it! |

We feed Wellness Puppy Dry and Wellness Core Wet (Chicken Flavor). Sophie loves it. I have tried others such as Merrik Puppy wet but she gets mad and flips her bowl over. I have also tried some of the other flavors of the Core but she wont even look at them!! |
I've heard so many good things about Merrick...:) The 95% Evo is super high in fat, so careful there. Snick loved the 95% venison (horrid smell!) but he is so dinky and a squirt so if he gained weight I didn't mind. Eventually he turned his nose up to it (geez) so we went with raw:). Emmett loves Merrick cowboy cookout and New Zealand summer the best. New Zealand summer has all kinds of apples and other fruits in it as well as the meat. Emmett thinks that Merrick is SOOOO good. |
I don't feed can food to my girls only kibble I will pure the meat, ck etc in the blender and mix it with it, they love it and look foward their meal every time, most of all, healthy poop everytime:thumbup::thumbup: |
I've been looking for a canned food to add to Coco's diet, she eats Innova evo red meat small kibble dry food. She loves it and does well on it, but I would like to give her a little variety. I was browsing through the different canned brands at the local dog bakery and seen Merrick and wellness... I didn't realize that innova made one, hmmm wonder why the didn't have it there! I may have to get them to order me some |
chester likes dogswell canned the sweet potato and lamb, I think I cant remember, it it a good food, the good stuff for our babies. I found actual chicken bones in the wing a ling, that made me nervous.. Chester has also liked the solid gold canned as well. |
