Does anyone know a good low fat food My Trixie was diagnosed with pancreatitus. I am giving her royal canin low fat but it is kind of expensive. I have to give this to her for a week because she just came home from the hospital on Sunday. But since she has to stay on a low fat diet I was kind of looking for a less expensive brand. Also is it ok to feed this to my Coco and Pebbles as well as I free feed and I would like to keep the kibble out for them. |
I would recommend contacting Dwerten or Izzy Princess as they both have dealt with that illness in their babies. Good luck!! |
Wellness Core is another good low-fat food, but I 'm sure it isn't going to be less expensive. |
I just wanted something that I could buy at our local store, not the vet. I bought a bag of the royal canin LF and Trixie ate it I was thrilled. Coco and Pebbles also ate it but Coco threw up! I didn't do this much investigating for baby food for the kids. They make me nuts!! these lttle guys. I will just ask the dr. when I bring her for her recheck next week what I should do. |
The only other commercial dog food that you don't have to get from a vet is possibly the Tiki dog food but not sure who in your area carries it - could be Petsmart, Petco, Pet Supplies Plus, etc., etc. Do a Google search for Tiki dog food and you should get to their site and find a store. |
