Re: Diet Hello everyone My Yorkie, Calleigh had a complete physical yesterday with the Veterinarian who said she was in excellent health but a little overweight. Calleigh is only 4 lbs., but the Vet said she is supposed to be more like 3.2 or 3.4 lbs. Anyway, my question is: How much (cup wise) do you feed a Yorkie this size, and what should I do to get her down to the weight recommended by the Vet. We walk every day and she runs around and plays outside, etc., but I would like her to be healthy and think she gained the weight after being spayed. Linda Bedilia:aimeeyork:animal-pa |
what kind of food do you feed her? My dogs have always been lean on home cooking but when I have used kibbles, I usually feed about 1/3 cup twice a day. All three are ideal weight. They do have snacks in between but usually that is fruit or veggies or other low calorie snacks. |

Orijen Is made with 70% chicken, turkey, fish and eggs - no animal by-products, 30% fruits, vegetables & botanicals - fortified with antioxidant vitamins & chelated minerals - 0% grains. It was recommended by my Veterinarian. Thanks for the reply, just want her to be as healthy as she can be. LindaBedilia:aimeeyork:animal-pa |
