Problem feeding just kibble! Bailey won't eat kibble alone, I hammer it up into itsy bitsy pieces to make it easier for him to chew, but I have to sprinkle in some chicken, or add a little cottage cheese or yogurt in order to get him to eat it. I'm wondering if it's okay to keep doing this, He has to eat, and this is the only thing I can think of. |
Have you tried mixing canned food in with the kibble? |

Low fat, low sodium cottage cheese and plain yogurt (or a very small amount of a flavored yogurt without artificial sweeteners) is fine. However, with the current bowel situation I personally wouldn't give dairy at all. If anything, maybe a small amount of yogurt with good probiotics. Boneless, skinless chicken breast is okay as is potato or sweet potato, etc. |

Gracie Belle is the same way!! She likes a little boiled chicken sprinkled in. I haven't use any dairy. Tonight I also made some brown rice and just mixed the rice in with her dry food and she loved it. I wanted to transition her to Wellness but the little stinker will pick out the SD and the chicken and leave the Wellness chunks!!! I want to get her off of SD so I think we will attempt Royal Canine. |
I have been mixing a little chicken and rice in with his crumbled kibble and he gobbles it right down, I will give him some potato tomorrow. I have to find a good canned food as well, there is nothing in my area so I will have to find something online:rolleyes: |
